Epu­lae Sybarītārum lūx­uriōsae erant. Itaque homō Sybarītānus, quī ali­quandō Spar­tiātārum con­vīviō inter­erat, mag­nā vōce dīx­it: “Iam nōn īgnōrō cūr vōs, Lacedae­moniī, cēterās gen­tēs for­titū­dine superētis. Vōs omnēs, sī sānae estis men­tis, mortem potius optābitis quam tālem vīctum!”
